FAQ

For any control, please keep your current vaccination or recovery certificate with you as well as a current ID.

The compliance of the rule gets controlled on a random basis. Whoever gets checked receives a stamp in order not to get checked several times. The stamp represents the certificate of being vaccinated or recovered for all Christmas markets in the inner city of Cologne.

Children including 5 years of age have free access. For students up to 16 years the rule of being vaccinated, recovered or tested (3G) applies.

Yes! Tests are possible in the immediate vicinity of the market, even without an appointment: directly at Heumarkt 77 at Brauhaus Gilden in Zims as well as in Lintgasse 14 (Cologne -> https://www.meincoronaschnelltest.de, with and without appointment).

Only fully immunised persons are allowed to visit the market.

People who cannot get vaccinated out of medical reasons (e.g. because they are immunocompromised) need a medical certificate as well as a PCR test not older than 48 hours or a negative rapid test not older than 6 hours. Centers for rapid tests are located close by the market (Gürzenichstraße & Lintgasse).

As everywhere at the market the 2G rule applies. The certificates get checked at the entrance of the Büble Alpe.

Masks are also required on the ice rink.

Basis for the access restrictions for the visit of the market is the current general ruling of the city of Cologne and the current Corona safety regulation of North Rhine-Westphalia.
